Continental GT launches Azure; the Azure name is a nod to its 1953 R-Type Continental predecessor.
Bentley recently introduced an optional package for the Continental GT model called "Azure", which pays tribute to the 1953 R-Type Continental in paint color and interior color. The optional package also improves the configuration of the carriage, focusing on the comfort and luxury of occupants.
On the exterior, the Azure option comes with a white paint finish similar to the 1953R-Type Continental's ivory white color scheme, bright chrome trim and grille contribute to the texture, and 22-inch wheels are standard.
The interior is dominated by "Cricket Ball brown" rather than the red of the 1953 R-Type Continental. The dashboard is all finished in burr walnut and features the R-Type Continental outline on the door pedal. The European GT with the optional Azure package is equipped with seats for six massage functions, a driver assistance system with adaptive cruise and lane assist lights and a Bentley Dynamic Ride system with an active anti-roll function.
In terms of power, the Azure package is still equipped with a 4.0T V8 engine, which has a maximum power of 404kW and maximum torque of 770N·m. It matches an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and adopts a four-wheel drive system. The new package is also equipped with a Bentley Dynamic Ride system with an active anti-roll bar to reduce the pitch of the car in the curve.
