As of January 2023, Ford has released its three vehicles in the U.S. market, including the Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning pickup, and E-Transit van.
Ford sold 61,575 electric vehicles in the United States in 2022, selling almost three times as many EVs as it did the previous year and making up 3.3% of total electric vehicle sales in the United States in 2022.
According to published statistics, Ford has sold 15,617 F-150 Lightning electric pickups since the vehicle's launch in May 2022. The company also sold 39,458 Mustang Mach-Es, an all-electric sports utility vehicle, a year-on-year increase of 45%. In addition, Ford's E-Transit van is the best-selling electric van in the United States, with 6,500 sold and a 73% market share in its segment.
Meanwhile, Ford plans a new production line that will enable the company to produce 600,000 electric vehicles annually by the end of 2023 and 2 million by 2026. Ford says his ultimate goal is to overtake Tesla as the leader in electric vehicles.
