Porsche, a German luxury sports car maker, reported global sales in 2022, with the company delivering 309,884 vehicles to customers worldwide last year—up 3% from 2021.
Porsche saw gains in several important markets, except China.
Despite a 2.5% decline compared with the same period in 2021, China remains Porsche's largest single market. For the whole year of 2022, over 90,000 units (93,286) were delivered.
Porsche sales in the United States, the second-largest market for the German sports car manufacturer, increased by only 40 cars to a record 70,065 deliveries in 2022.
In Europe (excluding Germany), Porsche sold 62,685 vehicles in 2022, up 7% from the previous year. This was better than the company's average performance over the last few years.
In addition, Porsche sales have increased in other overseas and emerging markets. For example, Porsche India said that 2022 be its best year for sales in the country, with an increase of more than 60%. A total of 779 cars were sold.

In terms of models, the SUV model Cayenne and Macan have the highest demand in the world: in 2022, the Cayenne delivered 95,604 new cars and became the best-selling Porsche; Macan ranked second with 86,724 units.
